When you change your subscription plan, or it expires, certain services and features become available, others not. One of those, mentioned above, are the name servers. Different subscription plans, use different name servers. When you change your subscription, you must also change the name servers, you are currently using, otherwise, your zone won't function properly.
You just need to login to your ClouDNS account. At the top of the page, you can see a field with information about your currently logged account, subscription plan, the amount of zones and records, etc. If you hover over the name of the subscription plan, you can see a pop up bubble with information about when it expires.
First, you need to login to your account. Then follow these simple steps:
1. Navigate to your desired zone.
2. Find your NS records and click Edit.
3. In the record's settings, you need to change the servers, that your records are pointing to. It should look like this:
Type: NS
TTL: 1 Hour
Host:
Points to: ns1.cloudns.net
Note: You should use the name servers listed in the pop-up window when you click on "available name servers" on your Dashboard page - DNS hosting section, right next to "create zone" button. In the article we are using example name servers.
4. Repeat these steps for all of your NS records and available name servers.
Follow these steps:
1. Navigate to your desired domain name from your Domain names section.
2. Go to Name servers tab.
3. Once there, add the name servers as follows:
Nameserver 1: ns1.your-domain.net
Nameserver 2: ns2.your-domain.net
Note: You should use the name servers listed in the pop-up window when you click on "available name servers" on your Dashboard page - DNS hosting section, right next to "create zone" button. In the article we are using example name servers.
4. Repeat step 3 for all of the available servers, for your domain. Once you are done, click Save.
